Accessibility Statement
This statement covers coatflow.io, the contractor account at coatflow.io/floor-visualizer/account, our demo pages, and the CoatFlow visualizer that contractors place on their own websites. CoatFlow is operated by Jordan Levin, an individual doing business as Levology Labs and CoatFlow, 31881 Via Puntero, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 ("we," "us," "our").
1. Our commitment
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to explore finishes, make previews and reach the contractor they are working with. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, and we fix problems in the pages themselves. We do not use accessibility overlay widgets.
2. The standard we aim for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our target. It is a goal we work toward, not a claim: we do not claim that every part of CoatFlow meets it today.
3. What we do today
- Contrast. We hold text to a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, including large text where the guidelines would accept less, and some of these checks run as automated tests on the visualizer and our website.
- Labels. Most buttons and controls in the visualizer have names that screen readers announce, and most previews and photos carry a short text description, often the name of the finish shown.
- Keyboard. Many controls work from a keyboard. For example, the before and after slider moves with the arrow keys and the Home and End keys, Escape clears the finish search, and Escape closes pop-up windows such as sign-in, the photo library and the comparison view.
- Motion. The animated 3D scenes and scroll effects on coatflow.io turn off or simplify when your device is set to reduce motion, and many animations in the visualizer do the same.
- Skipping ahead. Pages on our main website start with a "Skip to content" link for keyboard users.
4. Known limitations
- AI previews are pictures. Previews have short text labels and the selected finish's name is shown as text, but no text description can show exactly how a finish will look in your space. Some preview labels do not yet name the finish. The contractor can talk you through the options.
- Videos. Walkthrough videos and reels are visual and do not have audio descriptions.
- Not every step is checked yet. We have not yet tested every step of the visualizer, such as uploading and adjusting a photo, with a keyboard alone or with a screen reader, so some steps may be harder to use than they should be.
- Pages run by others. Payment pages run by Stripe and sign-in screens run by Google follow those companies' own accessibility practices.
5. Contractors' websites
When a contractor places our visualizer on its own website, the contractor is responsible for the accessibility of that website, including the page around the visualizer and how it presents it. We are responsible for the visualizer itself. If you find a barrier in the visualizer, tell us or the contractor, and we will work to fix it. Our Terms of Service set out the responsibilities between us and the contractors who are our customers.
6. Tell us about a barrier
If something on CoatFlow is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email jordan@coatflow.org. It helps to tell us:
- the page or the contractor's website you were on;
- what you were trying to do and what got in the way;
- if you are comfortable sharing it, your device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to respond within 5 business days. If we cannot fix a problem quickly, we will try to help you another way, for example by email.
7. Updates
We review this statement as CoatFlow changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
