Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information CoatFlow ("CoatFlow," "we," "us") collects when you use the CoatFlow floor visualizer, a contractor's embedded visualizer, a demo page we built for your business, or your CoatFlow account, and what we do with it. Questions go to jordan@coatflow.org.
1. What we collect
- Photos you upload. A photo of your floor, and the finish you pick, so we can make a preview of that finish on your floor.
- Account details. If you create an account or sign in: your email address, your name if you continue with Google, when you created your account or signed in, and which visualizer you used. Signed in, your previews and walkthrough videos are saved to your account.
- Quote requests. If you ask a contractor for a quote through the visualizer: the name and contact details you enter, your message, and the previews you attach.
- Usage and device information. Pages and visualizers you use, previews you make, your IP address, and basic browser and device details. We use your IP address to enforce free-preview limits and prevent abuse.
- Business contact information. For contractors we contact about CoatFlow: your business name, website, phone number and email, from public business listings and your own website.
- Payments. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive your billing status, not your full card number.
2. How we use it
- To make your previews and videos, save them to your account, and show them to you again.
- To send your quote request to the contractor you asked, with the previews you chose.
- To run, secure and improve the service, including free-preview limits and abuse prevention.
- To contact you about CoatFlow, and to show you CoatFlow ads on other platforms.
- To bill contractor subscriptions.
We never sell your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
- The contractor. When you use a contractor's visualizer or ask for a quote, that contractor receives your request, your contact details and your previews.
- Service providers that run parts of CoatFlow for us, under their own privacy commitments: cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services), AI image and video processing of uploaded photos, sign-in (Google, if you use it), customer messaging and CRM, and payments (Stripe).
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
4. Text messages and email
If we text or email you about CoatFlow, you can reply STOP to any text, or ask us by email, and we will stop contacting you.
5. Storage in your browser
The visualizer keeps a few things in your browser's local storage, such as your sign-in session and the finishes you mark as favorites. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account data and saved previews while your account is open. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, for security, or to meet legal obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, including your account and its activity, by emailing jordan@coatflow.org. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
8. Children
CoatFlow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
