Roomvo alternative

A Roomvo alternative built for coating contractors.

The Roomvo alternative for a coating contractor is a coating visualizer. Roomvo shows flooring stores' manufacturer products on a room photo, and its site lists no epoxy floor coatings. CoatFlow puts your flake, metallic, quartz and solid color finishes on the homeowner's own floor, on your website, then turns the preview into a short walkthrough video.

Disclosure. We make CoatFlow. We are not affiliated with Roomvo and name it only to compare. Every Roomvo fact comes from its own website on October 6, 2026, linked where it appears. Prices and features change, so check before you decide. If anything here is out of date, email jordan@coatflow.org and we will fix it.

Key takeaways

  • Roomvo is a room visualizer for flooring and home decor retailers and manufacturers, built around manufacturer catalogs.
  • Its site has no epoxy, flake, metallic or quartz floor pages, and its catalog is fed by brands, not by a contractor's color charts.
  • On patios and pool decks, Roomvo shows pavers, brick and pool coping, not coatings.
  • Roomvo Assistant is free for independent retailers. Most of its other products have no published price.
  • CoatFlow is built for coating jobs: your finishes on the homeowner's own floor, and every lead sent to the CRM you already use, with their pictures.

The short answer

Why coating contractors look for a Roomvo alternative

Because Roomvo is built for stores that sell flooring off a shelf, and you sell a floor you install. A shopper puts a photo of their room on a store website and sees carpet, vinyl plank, hardwood or tile from the brands that store carries. That works when the product exists before the sale.

A coating floor does not exist until your crew puts it down: a flake broadcast, a metallic pour or a quartz system, mixed on site. As of October 6, 2026, Roomvo's site has no pages for epoxy, flake, metallic or quartz floors, and its home page lists flooring, tile, paint, exteriors, wallpaper, rugs, countertops and furnishings. If you came looking for Roomvo for epoxy, there is nothing on Roomvo's side to switch on.

Roomvo, plainly

What Roomvo is, who it serves and how stores get it

Roomvo is a room visualizer for home decor stores and the brands they carry. The shopper snaps a photo of their room or picks a demo room and previews products from the store's catalog, which Roomvo says covers over 250 brands and updates itself when manufacturers change their lines. The line splits three ways:

  • Roomvo Assistant: a widget for independent retailers that its page calls free forever. Roomvo helps the store pick collections from its brand partners, and the store pastes one line of code into its site.
  • Roomvo Sites: lead-gen websites for flooring retailers with the visualizer built in. One package, Omnify+, shows a public price, covered below.
  • Most of the rest: the full Visualizer for large retailers, Kiosk, Catalog, Studio and Virtual Samples, with no price on the site.

Brands come in through the Roomvo Partner Program, which puts their products in front of more than 7,000 retailers. Its manufacturer page shows logos from Mohawk Industries, Shaw Floors, Daltile and Rust-Oleum, among others. Roomvo Catalog also takes a store's private-label products. But nothing on its site describes an epoxy floor catalog a contractor could sell from.

Credit where it is due

What Roomvo does well, and where it stops for epoxy

Its strengths are real. They are aimed at a store, not a coating crew.

What Roomvo does well

  • Free for independent retailers, with sign-up on its Assistant page.
  • Manufacturers keep the catalog current, so the store is not chasing SKUs.
  • A network of more than 7,000 retailers that brands reach through its Partner Program.
  • Walls, countertops and backsplashes too, for a showroom that sells the whole room.
  • A free PRO app that tracks samples and sends automated emails, plus showroom kiosks.

Where it stops for a coating contractor

  • No epoxy, flake, metallic or quartz floor pages on its site.
  • Nothing on its site covers loading coating systems from your color charts.
  • No video of the homeowner's own floor listed.
  • Outdoors, it shows pavers and coping, not coatings.
  • Built around SKUs, samples and showrooms, not coating jobs sold by quote.

The CoatFlow side

Where CoatFlow fits better for coatings

CoatFlow shows the floor you have not installed yet on a photo of the customer's own slab, on your website, before they call.

The same photo before the preview, with the floor as it is todayBefore
AI preview: a contractor's patio job photo, with Gravel epoxy flake previewed on the slab and the stepsPreview
A contractor's own patio photo, then Gravel flake previewed on it. The flake is an illustrative AI preview, not a photo of an installed floor.
  • Your finishes, not a brand list.

Your flake blends, metallics, quartz and solid colors, under your supplier names. Send us your color charts and our team sets them up, no setup fee. Until then, your account shows the default catalog.

  • Their floor, then a video of it.

The preview lands in about 15 seconds. No photo yet? 3 built-in demo rooms (a garage, a patio and a pool deck) preview every finish right away. Then the preview becomes a walkthrough video of their own floor: 3-second clips on Starter, 5-second clips on Pro, each taking a few minutes. It is an illustrative AI video, not footage of an installed floor.

  • Your brand, your lead.

White-labeled: your company name and brand color, with no CoatFlow branding in the widget your customers use. The quote button goes to your own quote or booking page, and leads go to your CRM or to GoHighLevel set up for you.

  • Follow-up, run for you.

On Pro, our team sets up and runs lead follow-up for you on GoHighLevel: texts and emails that chase every visualizer lead to a booked estimate.

Need what Roomvo has? Here is how CoatFlow does it

Roomvo does some things well. Here is each one, and how CoatFlow does the same job for a coating business.

  • You want every lead in one place. Already use a CRM? Keep it. When a homeowner asks for a quote, CoatFlow sends it straight to your CRM: their name, phone number and email, plus the photo of their floor and the picture of it with your finish. Our team hooks it up for you.
  • You do not want to build a catalog. You do not have to. Send us your color charts and our team builds your catalog: your flake blends, metallics, quartz and solid colors, under your supplier's names. No setup fee. Until then, you see the default catalog.
  • You want a low price. Start with a 7-day free trial. You add a card when you sign up. After that, Starter is $99 a month, with the visualizer on your website and 300 photo previews a month.
  • You want to show it in the showroom. CoatFlow runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install. Your rep opens the visualizer on your website and shows the homeowner their own floor, right there.
  • You make or sell coating products. Contractors send us their color charts, and our team builds their CoatFlow catalog under the names on the chart. So the contractors who put down your coatings can show them by name, on the homeowner's own floor.
  • You sell more than floors. CoatFlow is built only for coatings. So every screen is about flake, metallic, quartz and solid color, and your catalog comes from your own color charts.
